Description
Step back to early 1862 and experience the sights and sounds of the Confederate infantry as they alternate demonstrating Civil War infantry and artillery drill and the firing of both period rifle and cannon.
The NPS welcomes members of the 5th KY (CS) Infantry Volunteers this anniversary. Come enjoy their musket firing programs.
Encampment will be open for park visitors. Please stop by the site near Tour Stop #5 (Smith's Attack area).
Artillery programs will be offered by the National Park Volunteers at Fort Donelson NB and Shiloh NMP. Pick up a Junior Ranger Activity Handbook at the campsites or program sites and take a photo with a Civil War soldier.
Small Arms: 10 am and Noon
Artillery: 11 am and 2 pm
