NPS Founders Day - NPS Park Film Festival
August 25 is the 108th birthday of the National Park Service! On this date, in 1916, President Woodrow Wilson signed the law that created the NPS. To celebrate this milestone, we have two events planned. From 11 - 12 we will host a special film festival in our theater. We will be showing the park films from St. Croix National Scenic Riverway, Acadia National Park, Yosemite National Park and Denali National Park and Preserve. At 1 p.m. the Old Capitol Trombone Quartet will be performing a program of Americana music in the gazebo on the Village Green. Bring lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy this special concert.
