Description: Join National Park Service Ranger Jerry Hightower for a campfire program, guided walk, and a beautiful summer day coming to an end. Discover new facts about Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area plants during a program on the historical uses of plants for food, medicine, and pigments. We will make Blueberry Ink and you can write and draw using twig pens, feathers, and brushes. We will also create works of art using mud from the wetlands.

You are welcome to come early and bring a picnic dinner. After the program, you are invited to join us on a short walk on the Three Forks Loop Trail.

Facilities: Located in the Environmental Education Center.

Difficulty: Easy level walking

Bring: You are invited to bring your own marshmallows for roasting over the campfire. We will provide roasting forks. Dress for the weather and, if you're joining us for the walk, wear shoes suitable for walking on a possibly muddy forest trail.

Limit: 120 persons
