Description
For the 125th Anniversary of Mount Rainier National Park, Patrick Pringle will tell stories of how the use of radiocarbon dating and analysis of tree rings of buried and submerged "subfossil" trees is revealing new details about the past including precise ages of eruptions and volcanic mudflows at Mounts Hood, Saint Helens, and Rainier as well as new ages on great earthquakes and landslides and connections with historical evidence, including oral histories and the Journals of Lewis and Clark.
