Description

Who’s ready for an exciting winter adventure? Join Ranger Casey for a special guided hike on the winter solstice, December 21, starting at 5 pm. This hike will be a no lights evening hike.

Because of changing snow conditions, the hike location will be decided a few days before the program. Rangers will call all registered participants the day before the program to confirm location information and site conditions.

Join us for this unforgettable experience as we embark on a journey under the dark sky. On this hike, rangers will educate you on the transformations our senses undergo in the darkness, lakeshore animals and their adaptations, and much more! Don't let the fear of venturing outdoors at night hold you back—this is a great opportunity to explore the nocturnal world in a safe way.

Please remember to wear sturdy footwear, warm clothes, and bring a red-colored light or headlamp for added safety.  If you do not have a red colored light, we will provide red cellophane to cover your light.
Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity! Sign up today!
