Description

Explore with a park ranger, the longest concrete gun battery built by the U.S. Army in the United States for harbor defense. Constructed in stages from 1897 to 1904, the "Nine Gun Battery" was in service at Fort Hancock from 1904 to 1944. Bring a flashlight and walking shoes. Call the Sandy Hook Visitor Center at
