This program is free and open to the public.
Jesse McBride is an exciting and adventurous pianist and bandleader; the Tulane professor brings the legacies of jazz fathers Ellis Marsalis and Harold Battiste to his own thoughtful and forward-moving piano style and is committed to developing the next generation of jazz musicians.
Jesse will be joined today by Saskia Walker (vocals) who is originally from Italy and came to New Orleans in 2019 to attend Loyola University and learn more about jazz in the city where it all came from.
