Every rock has a story to tell. Join us as we uncover the stories of Cumberlandite the state rock of Rhode Island. Volunteer Mark Dennen and Park Ranger Allison Horrocks will be showing us this unique rock outcropping from a geological and historical lens. We will be meeting at the Elder Ballou Cemetery in Cumberland and walking to the Cumberlandite Site, the only outcropping of Cumberlandite. This program will be approximately 1 mile of walking on uneven terrain. This venue is street parking only. Please use caution.
