Cuban-born guitarist and producer Javier Olondo has performed extensively at important festivals and concert venues throughout Europe, North America and South America, and his band incorporates a variety of Latin rhythms and stylings, seasoned with New Orleans’ unique flavors. Olondo teaches guitar at Tulane while maintaining a rigorous touring schedule. He has recorded three critically acclaimed albums and has appeared on various television and radio shows around the world. In addition to leading his band AsheSon, he is also the artistic director of the New Orleans International Guitar Festival and host of the popular TV show Que Pasa TV.
This program takes place the first-floor Education Center of the New Orleans Jazz Museum, 400 Esplanade Ave. Admission is free and open to the public, seating is limited and offered first come, first serve.
