Description

Enjoy the relaxing park with Native American style flute music by C. Karen Covey Moore.

Many cultures have a type of flute. It is often considered a sacred instrument and has been used for prayer, healing, courting, and entertainment. Karen will play a variety of selections, including her prayerful heart songs, interspersed with legends.

C. Karen Covey Moore has played the Native American flute for 15 years as a prayer practice. She believes the Native American Flute produces a mystical and haunting sound that enters the heart and soul, filling it with beauty and peace and providing a connection to the Creator. She is the founder and facilitator of Whispering Woods Native American Flute Circle and plays her flutes for hospice patients and worship services and at pow-wows and has provided programs about the flute in nursing homes and schools.

Karen lives in Claymont, Delaware and offers Spiritual Direction and retreats for those seeking a more intimate relationship with the Creator.

Please bring a picnic, non-alcoholic beverages, blankets, and chairs and spend the day relaxing in the Park with us and let the sounds of Karen's flutes along the Christina River transport you!
