Description

Join a Ranger in the Interpretation Building at Bandy Creek for a one-hour indoor program to learn the basics of birding.  During this program you will learn the important role birds have in our world, how to choose the right binoculars, and bird ettique.  

Next, learn how to properly identify the different species of birds by using field guides and apps on your phone.

Finally, join the Ranger for a one-hour walk around the easy 1.4-mile Bandy Creek Loop where you will explore nature as you look and listen for the many different species of birds found in Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area.

Bring bug spray, water, and wear comfortable shoes.
