Presidents in America's Backyard Hike

This hike will depart from outside of the Nature Center, which is currently closed.

If the National Mall is America’s frontyard, then Rock Creek Park is America’s backyard. From before the park was founded, presidents have spent time on Rock Creek Park land. Join a ranger for a 2.75 mile hike and learn the ways that presidential history flows through Rock Creek.  

Walk may be cancelled in the event of bad weather at the discretion of park staff. Feel free to check the Rock Creek Park website the day of to confirm. Or call the Nature Center (202-895-6070) the day of to confirm and be sure to leave a voicemail for a callback.
