Join ranger Nowell to learn the basics of astrophotography and photograph dazzling stars above one of Arizona's darkest skies. Bring your DSLR or mirrorless camera (and a tripod if you have one) for this fun, hands-on adventure under the stars.

Bring a red flashlight and an extra layer for our chillier evening weather.

Location

Massai Point is 8.5 miles after the park entrance on a winding, paved road. Give yourself 30 minutes to drive the park road.

Massai Point is about 30 minutes from the park entrance. Plan to enter Chiricahua National Monument by 8 pm. Drive slowly and be alert for nighttime wildlife.
