Description
Celebrate National American Indian Heritage Month at the Satwiwa Native American Indian Culture Center and learn all about acorns with Hupa artist Kat High. Kat will lead the group on how to collect, prepare and store local acorns. You will also learn how to make your own acorn tops and buzzers.
Reservations are required for the 15 available spots. The workshop will take place outside on the front porch. In the event of high winds or rain we may move the workshop inside the building. Masks must be worn inside the building and social distancing protocols will be followed.
Please arrive early. There is a short walk from the main parking lot to the culture center. Follow the trail to the right side of the bathrooms. Materials will be provided, and everyone is welcome to participate.
