Delaware River Sojourn 2024
Registration is required through the Delaware River Sojourn website. Registration is online only.
The Delaware River Sojourn is an annual a guided paddling and camping trip on the Delaware River, organized by the Delaware River Sojourn Steering Committee.
The Sojourn combines canoeing/kayaking, camping, educational programs, historical interpretation, and more. It is for novice to experienced paddlers of all ages; participants can sign up for the whole event or for the section(s) or day(s) of their choice. The Sojourn is fully insured and sanctioned by the American Canoe Association. Each day participants are accompanied by a safety team, made up of members of the National Canoe Safety Patrol.
The Delaware River Sojourn is a great way to get outdoors, meet new people or reconnect with old friends, and enjoy nature - a perfect “staycation” where you feel you are away but still close to home.
This year's theme is "River of Inspiration" and programming will focus on the many ways that the river inspires us. Generations of artists, outdoor enthusiasts, scientists and everyday people are inspired by their experiences on or along the Delaware River. Just as the mission of the Sojourn is to inspire new stewards of the river through recreation and experiential learning, art has a powerful way of inspiring people to value water and its impact on our everyday lives.
