Description

Join us at the site where desperate fighting raged between the Nashville Pike and the Stones River during the afternoon of December 31, 1862. Two Confederate attacks in this area tried to break the Union Army of the Cumberland's line. Their failure secured the federal position defending the Nashville Pike and turned the Battle of Stones River toward becoming a critical U.S. victory that reshaped the course and consequences of the Civil War.

Join us at Murfreesboro's Schaefer Park to learn more about the struggle there and it impact on the combatants. Programs will take place at 11 AM, 1 PM, 2 PM and 3 PM and include firing demonstrations by U.S. & Confederate Infantry and Union Artillery.
