General Admission (ages 6+) $6.00 Child under 6 years old (ages 0-5): $1. Throughout the regular operating season, a limited number of Short Train Ride tickets will be released on the 15th of each month, allowing visitors to purchase tickets in advance online at Recreation.gov. As an example, tickets for July short train rides will be released on June 15; tickets for August short train rides will be released on July 15, etc. Tickets may also be purchased on-site at the Information Kiosk, the day of your visit. All ticket sales will be credit card only.

Steamtown's "Scranton Limited" Yard Shuttles are offered on Saturdays, and Sundays, as staffing permits. Each day of operation, there will be four departure times: 10:30am, 11:30am, 1:15pm, and 2:30pm. The "Scranton Limited" Yard Shuttle lasts between 30-45 minutes.


Description

2024 "Scranton Limited" Yard Shuttles
 
A 3-mile round trip ride lasting approximately 30-minutes. The locomotive travels through the rail yards, crosses the Lackawanna River, passes the historic Radisson at Lackawanna Station hotel and stops at the University of Scranton before returning to the Steamtown boarding area.
 
Tickets are required for our short train rides.
  • Tickets can be purchased on-site at the Information Kiosk, the day of your visit;
  • A limited number of tickets may be purchased in advance at recreation.gov;
  • Ticket sales must be paid for by credit card only, no cash sales;
  • Each ticket is valid for unlimited rides for the date of purchase.
