Sandy Hook Junior Ranger Birder
Take a stroll through the woods with a park ranger to learn about some of Sandy Hook’s most common songbirds, waterfowl, wading birds and birds of prey. The ranger will teach children how to use a pair of binoculars, use a bird guide and learn some tricks of the trade when it comes to birding identification.
Parents must accompany their children for the duration of the programs. All programs are free, please call (732) 872-5970 to make a reservation. Children completing the junior ranger program will receive a Junior Ranger badge and pin.
