Topic: John Brown's Raid on Harper's Ferry

On a dreary night in October of 1859, shots ring out across the sleepy Virginia town of Harper's Ferry. Something is amiss, there is yelling, and fighting in the streets. John Brown has begun his infamous raid on the armory. Come out to Greenbelt Park and learn about the story of John Brown's Raid and his fight for freedom by the campfire. Hear about how this raid led to the most important election in American history, learn about how John Brown dedicated his life to the freedom of others.
