Learn the history of homesteads in City of Rocks and Castle Rocks. Explore how pioneers and emigrants who traveled the California Trail and Salt Lake Alternate returned to Almo and settled the Valley.

Difficulty: Moderate. Distance: Approximately 4 miles. Some elevation gain/loss, hills. Creek crossings.

Recommended: Sunscreen, hat/sunglasses, long pants/shirt sleeves, bug spray, camera, water, hiking boots/shoes, walking stick, binoculars optional.
