Lights, camera, action! This summer, join the Museum and Ship for a movie night like no other on board "Old Ironsides."
Summer Movie Nights on “Old Ironsides” returns on Friday, July 15 with a free showing of Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World on the spar deck of USS Constitution! Seating is first come, first served. The doors open at 7:30pm and the film will begin at 8:30pm. From 7:30-8:30pm before the movie begins, guests will have a chance to participate in hands-on activities with Museum educators and hear from Museum Public Historian, Carl Herzog, about the film’s impressively accurate portrayal of life and battle in the age of sail. It is an evening you won’t want to miss!
General seating will be available, though guests are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets for viewing. Small bags, food, and drinks are permitted on board. Alcohol is not permitted. Guests ages 18 and up will be asked to show a photo I.D. and pass through a security screening to board the Ship. Additionally, please note that USS Constitution is a historic vessel and as such, access to the top deck requires use of a ramp to board. Film is rated PG-13 for intense battle sequences, related images, and brief language.
