Description

Join us for a memorable afternoon with Aquinnah Wampanoag artist Elizabeth James-Perry as she brings history and tradition to life through her artistry.

Elizabeth will demonstrate the intricate art of eastern floral glass beadwork on center seam moccasins—hand-sewn from durable deer or moose hide, the traditional footwear of northeastern Native peoples. She incorporates tiny glass beads, ribbon, and dyed deer hair to create unique designs inspired by Indigenous vines, leaves, and flowers—reflecting the deep connection between nature and culture.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to explore the beauty, tradition, and storytelling of Indigenous craftsmanship. We look forward to seeing you there!
