Description
From March through June of 1862, Confederate General Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson conducted a now famous campaign in the Shenandoah Valley. Join a National Park Service ranger to learn about the key battles, including First Kernstown, and how the landscape of the valley influenced the military actions.
Kernstown Battlefield Association, a nonprofit group, operates the historic battlefield. The battlefield is part of Shenandoah Valley Battlefields National Historic District.
