Army Ground Forces Association Battery Gunnison

The Army Ground Forces Association, dressed in 1943 era coast artillery uniforms, is a volunteer group restoring and interpreting Battery Gunnison/New Peck and its 6-inch guns. Visi-tors are invited to stop by on this work and training day to chat and learn more about the historic time period of March 1943, the preparation for the May 1943 reactivation of Battery Gunnison/New Peck, and the restora-tion and preservation projects currently underway.
