Celebrate National Junior Ranger Day and America's Story of 250 with the horses of the US Park Police Mounted Unit. Join the National Park Service and the Trust for the National Mall at the US Park Police Horse Stables and Education Center for an opportunity to explore this special site and earn your America 250 Junior Ranger Mall Explorer badge.
Jr. Ranger hands-on activities include:
-Meet and greet with the Mounted Patrol and horses; pet a horse and take a selfie! (dependent on Unit availability and duty)
-Decorate a ranger hat and post it to the Jr. Ranger Graffiti Wall
-Explore the National Mall Gateway, a digital civic learning platform
-Earn a Junior Ranger Badge by completing a scavenger hunt or Junior Ranger Booklet
-Have fun with horse crafts
-Collect National Park Passport Stamps
-Receive free giveaways for National Park Week and America’s 250th anniversary
