Waldo Davis. Zuni Stone Carver (Cancelled)
Anne Marie Crank, Diné Hair Stylist.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday — March 4, 5, 6, 2025: 9 am to 4 pm each day.
- Waldo Davis, a self-taught Zuni stone carver, has cancelled and is not able to demonstrate at Grand Canyon this week.
- Ann Marie Crank, a Diné hair stylist, will share the cultural significance of traditional hair styles in Diné culture, which reflect the core values of balance, harmony, and respect for nature. Ann Marie will provide demonstrations and offer visitors the chance to have their hair braided or styled in traditional fashion.
- The Cultural Demonstration program provides an opportunity for park visitors and community members to interact with Indigenous artisans and educators - and for them to share their cultural history and stories, along with the skills and knowledge involved in creating their art.
- This series is made possible with grants from Grand Canyon Conservancy.
