Description

The Ranger-led snowshoe hike will be around 2 miles, starting at the Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center. We will discuss the evolution of human understanding of the moon.

Due to the nature of this activity, please be aware of the following:

  • Children nine years old and younger are not permitted.
  • Sturdy hiking boots or snow boots are required. Snowshoes will be provided for the program.
  • White light flashlights and headlamps are not allowed, you may bring them with you for after the program. Red light flashlights and headlamps are permitted as necessary. Flash photography may be permitted under key restrictions.
  • Bring bottled water, a snack, a winter coat, and other warm layers (gloves, scarf, hat)- nighttime temperatures are cold.

Due to snow-covered trails, this activity is not wheelchair accessible.
This event may be cancelled due to inclement weather.
