Description
Do you have what it takes to be a surfman of the US Lifesaving Service? To find out, join park rangers on Thursdays from 1:15-3 pm at the Maritime Museum to complete a series of stations as part of the rescue duties of the surfman stationed the Sleeping Bear Point Station.
Stations will set up around the grounds of the Maritime Museum in Glen Haven where potential surfmen and women of all ages can try their hand at tossing out a lifering, doing a lookout for potential ships in distress, and participate in the Breeches Buoy demonstration to do a mock shipwreck rescue.
