Description

What?: Valles Caldera is alive right now with colorful wildflowers. Come join Volunteer Ranger Nina for a Wildflower Ramble.

Where?: Valle Grande Contact Station in the Cabin District. The Contact station is another 2 miles further into the Preserve from the Entrance Station. A free shuttle is available from the Entrance Station, please arrive early. Parking is also available for backcountry permit holders behind the Contact Station or along the road. Please keep at least 2 wheels on the gravel to avoid grass fires.

When? 11 a.m., Friday, August 2, 2019. The light stroll among the flowers is expected to last 30 minutes.
