Description
Preservation archaeologist Paul Reed will delve into how the Ancestral Pueblo people of the Middle San Juan region have a unique and outstanding record of innovation and creativity. He will also discuss how this region, which includes the Aztec and Salmon communities, is often misunderstood in terms of Ancestral Pueblo history and rarely attracts the attention it deserves.
Reed has conducted fieldwork and research in the Southwest for more than 30 years. His most recent writing is an edited book entitled Aztec, Salmon, and the Pueblo Heartland of the Middle San Juan.
