Description

It’s the final day of the Great Backyard Bird Count! Come visit your next-door National Park any time from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM to observe and record birds in the park. This is not your average bird walk; we will be moving to different areas of the park as a group, setting up our chairs, and staying in one place while recording the birds around us.

We will start at 9:30 AM at the Fort Matanzas visitor center. Participants are welcome to join at anytime and may depart when they like. This event will end at 3:00 PM.

This event is free, and no sign-up is required. Water, bug spray, and closed-toed shoes are strongly encouraged. A collapsible chair, hat, and sunglasses are recommended. Binoculars will be available to borrow as supplies last. All participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. This event is open to birders of all skill levels. We look forward to seeing you there
