Registration starts at 9am. Self-guided time is provided until programs start every half hour between 10am and noon. Guided programs last until 3:30 pm and all schedules provide for a one and a half hour period for lunch, self-guided hike, museum tour, film, and/or time to complete the junior ranger booklet.


Description

Homeschool families are invited to attend a field trip day on Friday, September 12, from 9:30 am – 4:00 pm. Registration is required.

Registration starts at the visitor lawn and will be available starting at 9am. Junior Ranger program booklets will also be available at the registration table starting at 9am. Activity stations at the visitor center and Ray House will run from 10 am to noon with start times at 10am, 10:30am, and 11 am and at Stop 5 and Stop 7 starting every half hour 1 pm - 3pm. Programs can be completed in a series that includes all locations or a la carte based on your interest.

 

Programs are grouped by ages but participants are not restricted to stations based on age. Choose which topics are of most interest. Groups may split up at a site as long as parents remain on site with the youngest participants in the group.

Note: Program times and topics are subject to change based on weather and staff availability.
