This 3-hour workshop on Public Lands Day will be presented by Douglass Owen, a retired park ranger, naturalist, educator, and photographer.  His book, A Park Ranger’s Guide to Nature & Wildlife Photography was published in 2019 and is available in the park book store.  Workshop will be from 1 to 4 p.m. in the visitor center auditorium. Over 100 tips, techniques, and practices to improve your nature photography will be presented.  How to keep it simple and fun will be emphasized. Participants will also be introduced to naturalist skills, ethics, and field craft that will both improve their success rate and protect the environment.  Active audience participation is encouraged. This free event is sponsored by the Craters of the Moon Natural History Association.
