Description
Join the National Park Service and the McLoughlin Memorial Association in celebrating the birthday of Oregon's statehood! On Saturday, February 17, at 10:00 am, local boy scouts will lead a flag raising ceremony featuring a 33-star American flag, which represents the version of the flag that would have flown when Oregon became a state on February 14, 1859. The festivities will continue with an open house from 10:00 am-4:00 pm. Docents dressed in costumes of the 1850s will greet and interact with visitors to the historic McLoughlin House. There is no fee or registration required to attend this fun, family-friendly event!
