Description
Celebrate Trails Day and Earth Day with a ranger-guided bike tour around the National Mall. Earlier bike tours of the National Mall investigated why we ride, with connections to Mall sites and stories. This time we'll examine why we don't ride- the barriers that stop more people from riding more often. We’ll also discuss how those obstacles can be removed and overcome, and cycling can continue to grow as a safe and eco-friendly commuting option and recreational activity. The park's sites and stories can show us how.
Bring your own helmet, water, snacks and bike (or check one out from Capital Bikeshare).
The tour is approximately 8 miles.
