Hop on over to Lincoln Park on Saturday, September 16th from 5-7 pm for a free concert performed by the Capitol Hillbillies!
Lincoln Park comes to life in late summer with the Capitol Hill Concert Series! Beginning in August and continuing through September, Lincoln Park resounds with the music of Big Band, Blues, Folk and more! The FREE concerts are held in the evening, and visitors are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy the cool breezes and fine tunes. The concerts in the park are reminiscent of the programs held in the late 1960s as part of the "Summer in the Parks" program, which promoted racial harmony and the use of parks through music, reading, sports, and other activities.
