What better place to mark 250 years of the American story than at one of our national parks?

This July 4th, celebrate the spirit of America at the Natchez Trace Parkway Visitor Center in Tupelo. Spend the day immersed in what was once the edge of the young nation, the Mississippi Territory, as rangers in period clothing share the daily skills and experiences of life on the early American frontier. Activities include hands on crafts, traditional games, music, and a close look at how frontier families took apart and cleaned their weapons to keep them working, since these tools were essential for survival. Come weave your own story into the long and remarkable history of this ancient travel corridor.

Activities will run from 9:00am to 4:00 pm.

Free and open to the public.
