Friends of Peirce Mill Winter Workshop: Kente Cloth Weaving and Yarn Crafts
Chapuchi Bobbo Ahiagble, an expert weaver originally from Ghana, will demonstrate traditional Kente cloth weaving and share the fabric’s fascinating history and stories. He’ll also show visitors of all ages how to wind a bobbin and use a cardboard loom. And we’ll have other simple, hands-on yarn crafts to try. Come by the mill for a cozy day of yarn crafting and celebrate the first day of Black History Month!
