Come to Fort Stanwix for the next Homeschool Day event!

This year’s event will be on Wednesday, September 16 from 9:30-2:30. Don’t have all day to spend at the event? You can register for the morning session, which runs from 9:30-11:30 am or the afternoon session, which runs from 12:30-2:30 pm. You can register your family from Wednesday, August 19 until September 11. A link will be provided closer to the event date.

Please contact the park's Education Coordinator at 315-338-7730 with specific questions regarding the event. In the event of inclement weather, accommodations will be made to continue the outdoor activities within the covered living history spaces.

The event will only be cancelled if there is a threat of continuous showers or severe weather. Please check the Rome forecast the day before the event and plan accordingly. If necessary, updated information will be posted on the park webpage and social media outlets. Because of the staffing involved for the event, we are unable to reschedule.

For those wishing to spend the entire day at the park, participants are encouraged to pack a picnic lunch and a blanket and enjoy their midday meal onsite. There are also many offsite meal options within close proximity of the fort.
