River Raisin National Battlefield Park Foundation in conjunction with River Raisin National Battlefield Park, Monroe County Community College, and the Friends of the River Raisin will be hosting the “Battle of the Wines” as part of the 2020 Commemoration of the battles of the River Raisin.
The event will take place on Friday, January 17 2020, from 5:30pm to 8:30pm at the La-Z-Boy Center Atrium of Monroe County Community College. Tickets are $40.00 each which includes entry into the event with a special program by Dr. Mary Stockwell on “The Other Trail of Tears”; three flights of three different wines (9 tastings of your choice of either dry or sweet) from France, Canada, and Michigan presented and discussed by a sommelier; a perfect pairing of foods with your wines; three chances to vote for your favorite wine of the evening; and free coffee, tea, and water.

The Battle of the Wines event will raise funds to sponsor 20 area educators on the 2020 Journey Towards Understanding.
