Description
Manhattan Project National Historical Park is hosting the American Museum of Science and Energy’s Book Club for December to read Sleeper Agent: The Atomic Spy in America Who Got Away, by Ann Hagedorn. Read along and join in on the discussions on Manhattan Project National Historical Park’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/ManhattanProjectNPS.
We are joined by author Ann Hagedorn, former Wall Street Journal staff writer and award-winning author of six narrative nonfiction books, through prerecorded videos with park staff to discuss this thrilling narrative nonfiction. Throughout the month, we’ll dive into the story of George Koval, the only Red Army intelligence officer to successfully gain security clearances within the Manhattan Project. Working in both Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and Dayton, Ohio, Koval was instrumental in the Soviet Union’s development of their first atomic bomb.
