Description

Come help Capitol Reef National Park remove harmful invasive plants from the ecosystem!

Volunteers will assist park staff in removing invasive Russian thistle from along Utah highway 24. Volunteer event will begin at 9:00 am and will finish by 1:00 pm. Trash bags, work gloves and shovels will be provided. Please wear appropriate clothing and shoes for working outdoors and bring water and snacks. Long-sleeve shirts, long pants and closed-toe shoes are required to participate given the irritating and prickly nature of Russian thistle.

Participation is limited to 15 individuals. Interested volunteers should email angelina_guerra@nps.gov to sign up as a volunteer and obtain more information.
