Description
Does a cold winter’s day in Washington have you picturing furtive meetings between shadowy characters under overcast skies? Running along Embassy Row, Rock Creek Park has been the site of spy stories and neighbor to many spies. Join a Park Ranger for a 2.5 mile hike through Rock Creek and learn the story of spies in America’s Back Yard.
Meet the Ranger by Peirce Mill Barn. Visitors may wish to park at Picnic Grove #2 (either side of the creek) or at Picnic Grove #1 across from Peirce Mill and walk to the meet-up spot.
Walk may be cancelled in the event of bad weather at the discretion of park staff. Feel free to check the Rock Creek Park website the day of to confirm, or call the Nature Center (202-895-6070) the day of to confirm.
