Jamaica Bay: Plant Pressing & Zine Workshop

Join NPS rangers, local artist Samsam Graves (@samsamgraves), and Gotham Taxidermy’s Divya Anantharaman (@gothamtaxidermy) for a free art workshop. Plant pressing is a method for preserving plants by flattening and drying them between sheets of paper. After getting our presses assembled, we will create our own mini “zines” using our pressed plants and flowers for inspiration. Materials will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own flowers and other materials as well.
