People of Camp Nelson
St. Andrews University, in partnership with the National Park Service, invites you to a special presentation, “People of Camp Nelson,” starting at 6:00 pm on Friday, July 24th at the Bethel Church in Nicholasville, Kentucky!
Researchers from St. Andrews University will be sharing new research on the people—soldiers and civilians—who experienced Camp Nelson during and after the Civil War. The program also covers how to conduct archival and genealogy research connected to U.S. Colored Troops, refugees, and civilians.
Attendees are encouraged to bring and share stories of their ancestral connections to Camp Nelson and Civil War Kentucky. The program is free and open to the public.
