Description

In the midest of food shortage and rationing during the years surrounding World War I, George Washington Carver developed alternative foods from sweet potatoes, a garden staple. He also worked to create around 300 products from the common peanut plant. Drop in, enjoy a cup of hot coffee or tea, and learn more about this aspect of Carver's word, during the opening session of Coffee With Carver. Particpants will make sweet potato starch and flour, plus peanut milk!
