Starting at 8:00 PM, learn about the park’s role in combating light pollution and steps we can all take to protect our dark skies. At 9:30 PM, attend the joint program hosted by Voyageurs Conservancy’s dark sky specialist and NASA Solar System Ambassador and a Voyageurs National Park ranger for a night of stargazing and discovery. Begin with a short program exploring what it means to be a dark sky park, why preserving natural darkness matters, and how it enhances our connection to the cosmos. Afterwards, immerse yourself in the night with a 60-minute guided experience, featuring powerful telescopes, constellation tours, and stunning views of distant planets, galaxies, and brilliant starscapes. Don’t miss this stellar opportunity for all ages to connect with the starry night sky, celebrate the cosmos, and learn why it’s essential to protect this natural wonder.
