Our ceremony marking Veterans day will begin in the church at 11 AM, followed by a wreath laying ceremony, and a tour of the historic cemetery, exploring the lives and service of some of the veterans buried at St. Paul's. At 2 PM, in the museum, Park Ranger Michael Callahan gives a presentation about the World War II and Korean war service of William and Elizabeth Weigle, son and daughter of the St. Paul's minister at the time.

Description

Our formal Veterans Day commemoration begins with a recognition in the church at 11 AM.  It features a special recollection of Sergeant William Hintzen, who served in the Korean War, and is buried at St. Paul’s.  There will also be a 2 PM presentation by Ranger Michael Callahan about William and Elizabeth Weigle  --  son and daughter of the St. Paul’s minister Rev. Harold Weigle  --  and their service in World War II and the Korean conflict.
