The Yosemite Exploration Center (formerly the Valley Visitor Center) is a family-friendly space that includes interactive displays and exhibits highlighting Yosemite's many stories and resources. Learn more about Yosemite's history, the people who originally called this place home, as well as more about meadows, animals, and sequoias! The Yosemite Conservancy bookstore located inside offers books, apparel, and gifts.

Operating Hours & Seasons

Open year-round, 9 am to 5 pm daily.

Accessibility

This facility is wheelchair accessible. A small number of designated accessible parking spaces are available just west of the Yosemite Museum. Numerous exhibit panels feature tactile relief elements along with several tactile exhibits. Parts of the exhibit hall feature audio elements.
