Winston Monument

Atop a pedestal stands a statue of Joseph Winston. It points south and holds a sword in his hand.
Joseph Winston commanded troops from Surry county on the south end of the American army.

The Winston monuments commemorates Joseph Winston, Jesse Franklin, and Richard Taliaferro who participated in the "seperate fight" at the south end of the battlefield.
